ECI is committed to helping its employees and contractors remain safe and healthy. We recognize our responsibilities to the health and safety of our associates, customers and stakeholders, and the communities in which we work. We realize the importance of environmental stewardship and plan our activities in a manner to protect the environment and preserve natural resources for future generations.

At the core of ECI’s safety program is training and education. ECI employees receive training to meet or exceed OSHA and Oil & Gas specific training requirements. We utilize a combination of computer based programs and live training sessions which are then refreshed on an annual basis. Throughout the year, employees stay engaged through daily or weekly safety planning meetings. The ECI Safety Committee is Pennsylvania Department of Labor Certified.

At ECI, safety is the responsibility for every team member. This ongoing effort is led by Safety Manager, Brandon Bajek, who is a Certified Safety Professional. This coveted designation is managed by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. BCSP credential holders are among the most highly trained, educated and experienced individuals in the safety field. He is a knowledgeable resource for all of our employees.

ECI is a member of the Road to Zero Coalition. Launched in 2016 as a partnership between the U.S. Department of Transportation and the National Safety Council, the Road to Zero Coalition has the goal of ending fatalities on our nation’s roads by 2050. ECI is proud to support greater awareness of the need for safe driving and reduced traffic fatalities.

ECI continues to develop and implement procedures, reporting methods and monitoring systems to address the ongoing protection of the safety and health of our employees and the surrounding environment. We incorporate appropriate health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) criteria into our business decisions. The emphasis is on HSSE, and the reduction of incidents will be our measure of our success.

ECI has reached an important safety milestone - two years without a recordable accident. Our EMR (Experience Modification Rate) is 0.686.

Safety impacts all of us in different ways. History shows that a safe company is a successful company: one with high production of quality work and happy employees. These are both very important to ECI and we empower our employees to continue using the safety tools that have helped ECI achieve this.
