ECI’s Skid Technologies team recently completed the design, build and testing of its largest skid to date. This 20” CL 900 High Integrity Pressure Protection System skid, built for a customer in the oil and gas industry, weighs 125,000 pounds.
To accommodate the size of this skid, it was built outside of ECI’s Monessen, PA, facility, and required the use of a special crane.
This skid was designed to deliver a high level of reliability. The skid is rated SIL 3, the highest safety rating in the oil and gas industry.
ECI’s Skid Technologies group designs and builds custom, prefabricated process control skids. This pre-tested, turnkey process solution is developed for many applications including metering, custody transfer, filtering, dosing, water treatment systems, combustion gas systems, emergency shutdown control systems, and training stations.
